Association of the Miraculous Medal

As testimonies to the generosity of God's love in answer to prayers offered through our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, the Association receives thousands of letters. In that spirit of gratitude to God, the Association publishes edited sections of some letters.

The first letter is from an email.

Dear Father,

I converted to the Catholic faith 65 years ago when I was 20. I never felt I was as close to the Virgin Mary as I wanted to be. I have a prayer room and I asked Blessed Mary to help me become closer to her. The next week a friend gave me a beautiful Miraculous Medal. I asked him why he gave it to me. He said that he didn't exactly know why, but knew he had to do it. It was my answer from Mary. Last year I had the opportunity to visit the Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Paris, France. For more than 14 years I have given out prayer leaflets, and many of the prayers are to our Blessed Mother. God has blessed me so much in my 85 years of life. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to do this.

The second letter is from Minnesota.

Dear Father,

When I was young, I became pregnant. I was alone at the time. My doctor encouraged me to have an abortion, and my friends said they would help pay for the procedure. I prayed so hard to Mary, Mother of Jesus, for direction even though I knew in my heart what I should do. Every time the thought of an abortion came into my mind, I would feel Mary’s loving presence. I knew this was my answer to the many prayers I said. Needless to say, I did not have an abortion. All worked out as it should have. I am grateful for Mary’s intercession on my behalf.

Share your story of Mary's intercession for you.
