“Nuestra Señora de los Dolores es el gran ejemplo para los cristianos. Ella supo estar de pie junto a la cruz en la que moría su único hijo, el Salvador del mundo. Que, como ella, sepáis en todas las circunstancias de la vida ver la mano de Dios que os guía y protege con verdadero amor paternal”.
Juan Pablo II
Association of the Miraculous Medal

This is a very special year for the Association of the Miraculous Medal in Perryville, Missouri. On May 18, we will celebrate our 100th anniversary of promoting devotion to our Blessed Mother and spreading the word about the Miraculous Medal, a gift she gave to us through Saint Catherine Labouré. The Association was established by the Western Province of the Congregation of the Mission (Vincentians) in the United States. Saint Mary’s of the Barrens in Perryville, Missouri, was founded in 1818 by the Vincentian priests so it was only natural that Saint Mary’s should become a center of devotion to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. We ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers as we celebrate this milestone. Limited quantities of commemorative gifts designed for this occasion are available upon request for suggested contributions.

Thank you to the hundreds of generous families who have made this restoration possible.

Thank you for your continued understanding as we work around the schedule of our contractors, electricians, painters, and finishers.

As you can see from the pictures, it is really needed. If you haven't had a chance yet and still want to be a part of this once every hundred year restoration, there are still some beads and benches along the Rosary Walk that are available for naming.

If you have questions or you are interested in supporting the restoration campaign, please call
1-800-264-6279 and ask to speak with Sherry Clark, Krista Koishor, or Pat Vetter.

The Association of the Miraculous Medal would like to thank you for your support and understanding as the restoration campaign moves forward.

Join Us in Praying for the Victims of Hurricane Florence

In the aftermath of Hurricane Florence, we lift up in prayer all of those who lost their lives and those who are devastated by grief. We remember also those who have lost their homes, jobs, and businesses. When natural disasters strike, we depend so much on God’s favor, but we are at the mercy of the forces of nature. Let us continue to pray for all those affected by this disaster. When we pray together at the foot of our Lady’s Shrine Altar, we unite in a prayer network comprised of thousands of members of the Association of the Miraculous Medal. May our Lady keep the people of North and South Carolina in her loving care.

What's New

When our Blessed Mother appeared to young Catherine Labouré in 1830, she foretold the evil and sorrow of the revolutions of 1830 and 1832 in France. The situation back then seemed hopeless, just as it does for so many today. But no situation is hopeless when Mary, the Mother of Jesus, steps in! She gave us the Miraculous Medal which has brought us hope in times ... Keep Reading
